Murdoch University Dubai has teamed up with a GCC online business information website, NewzMakerz.com, in an exciting new project allowing students to contribute to the production of the content on the website.
A group of shortlisted students from Murdoch University Dubai have been given an opportunity to showcase their skills on a dedicated 'Murdoch University' channel on the website, where their first project, an information series called 'Face-off', will be aired from Tuesday 18 November onwards.
'Face-off' compares a variety of products and services offered to consumers, ranging from hotels, home electronic appliances, holiday resorts, mobile phones and best performing business leaders to fashion.
Students will be working in front of the camera, behind the camera and with post-production editing, before the final product is being published on the website.
NewzMakerz.com CEO and founder Shahriar Shahabi said: "This partnership is a step towards creating a new ecosystem for innovation to flourish. We aim at creating competitiveness in today's global economy with fresh and innovative ideas stemming from the students themselves. NewzMakerz.com and Murdoch University Dubai are working together to give the media talent in the GCC a chance to get noticed and launch their careers."
Strategy and Business Development Manager, Raghav Lal, from Murdoch University Dubai is confident that the collaboration will be a valuable addition to the students' portfolios. "The students will acquire real life skills in producing business related content for the website which will, no doubt, strengthen their career prospects upon graduation. We will continue to seek similar opportunities to ensure our students get the best possible start to their careers."
NewzMakerz.com is the first WebTV site dedicated to business and commerce related news and information in the Middle East. It attracts visitors from all over the world, the top five countries being the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Great Britain, India and Saudi Arabia.
