Nissan Jordan sponsors Traffic Awareness Campaign for school students

In line with concerted efforts to spread traffic awareness and reduce traffic accidents, Bustami & Saheb Trading Co. LTD (BSTC), the exclusive dealers of Nissan in Jordan, is sponsoring a comprehensive educational traffic awareness campaign for school students, organized by Interactev. The campaign aims at familiarizing students with road safety rules, introducing them to the dangers of speeding, and providing them with general traffic rules. The campaign also aims at stressing the importance of abiding with road safety rules in reducing the percentage of accidents and casualties.
 
This campaign which met with favorable reception from all involved and was a great success, included a number of schools and targeted the different age groups of all academic levels. The cooperation of the Public Security Directorate/Traffic Management in Nissan Jordan’s traffic awareness campaign greatly contributed to its success; the Directorate deputized Lieutenant ‘Othman Al Habahbeh to enlighten students on the conditions for general road safety and driving requirements. He also answered the questions of students and teachers who responded and expressed their surprise, at times, at road safety rules.
 
The campaign also included documentaries demonstrating how to ensure safety conditions are available in cars, in addition to presenting some pictures of the traffic accidents Jordan is witnessing nowadays; all of which motivated students to enquire more about road safety, and stimulated discussions that aimed at educating this generation on traffic culture. The traffic lectures concluded with an atmosphere of fun and competitiveness amongst the students through their participation in a knowledge competition; the winners were awarded with prizes and gifts from BSTC. 
 
Commenting on this campaign, CEO of BSTC, Mr. Imad Bustami said, “This campaign reaffirms Nissan’s dedication to the local community and its constant initiatives to communicate with all strata of that community, the most important of these is contributing to raising traffic awareness and introducing people to the fundamentals of safe driving, thus avoiding accidents and the loss of lives and property.”
 
“We, at Nissan Jordan, strive to instill the concepts of traffic safety in the minds of our students, in the hopes of building a new generation with the necessary traffic awareness and culture to drive safely, and so save lives, so dear to each member of the community, as traffic accidents constitute a chronic problem,” he added.
 
It is worth mentioning that the campaign will continue until June 19, 2009, and will be packed with competitions and toys for children, and prizes, thus fulfilling the campaign’s objective, especially through maintaining rapport with parents.
