ActiveReception, a revolutionary software system, which allows businesses to interact with web visitors one on one has teamed up exclusively with Webactivate FZE to launch in the UAE.

Already with many client demos, ActiveReception has an ambitious strategy to roll out across the GCC and the Mideast, according to David Tobias, Director of UAE-based Webactivate.

"The response so far has been truly remarkable, this product has really caught the imagination of the local business community, as we suspected it would, but it's really exciting to be assisting local enterprise to harness the real power of their websites," said Tobias.

Tobias and Mark Mogridge, fellow Director at Webactivate, will develop the Middle East market for the European based software firm. Key benefits of ActiveReception include a live chat application that allows instant response from sales and support staff. The capture of information about visitors and contact details is enhanced by the ability to channel web visitors directly to pages or consultants for live messaging.

The system delivers dramatic customer service enhancements whilst reducing operating costs through its ability to cut call centre resources required to deliver a given level of service.

As one UAE based user commented, "ActiveReception enables us to answer a visitors queries while they are looking at our website, which enables them to make the decision to buy right there and then."

Assisting web-visitors dramatically increases the chances of them doing business with an organisation. Forrester Research found that "90% of online visitors prefer some form of real-time human interaction for assistance. Yet the same respondents indicated they would rather not use voice as the medium."

It is predicted that within a short period, the system will become a key business tool, enabling both private and government organisations, to connect in a meaningful way with their on-line customers.

"For too long websites have been passive and non-reactive; resulting in business opportunities turning cold or being lost all together. For example, 75% of web sites are simply abandoned mid process, even with full shopping carts. This suggests that there is a huge opportunity to boost on-line sales at the point of purchase. ActiveReception ensures that such sales opportunities are never missed again," he added.

Tobias and Mogridge, both of whom have over 16 years experience in the GCC, and share the necessary expertise to ensure ActiveReception quickly develops in this rapidly expanding digital market.
