The Developer Days are dedicated for digital developers and engineers in the Middle East, covering the latest in cutting-edge technology and programming. Participants will be able to connect and consult with senior engineers from major partner institutions and draw from their expertise in panels and specialized workshops, as well as participating in exciting competitions. Developer activities have been extended this year to one and a half days, plus evening activities.

The Industry Day, a new addition this year, will focus on the way that web and mobile are transforming traditional industries, including healthcare, banking, travel, education, and government. Professionals from across the spectrum can gain a better understanding of the technological future of their industry and learn about ways to enhance their business and stay competitive.

The Forum Days will be the largest gathering of digital professionals and entrepreneurs in the Middle East. More than 1,500 people from across the world will meet and discuss the latest trends in technology and digital communications, and hear from first-time ever speakers in the Middle East. The Forum also gives the stage to aspiring regional entrepreneurs who will pitch their ideas and startups in the hopes of attracting attention from investors, business leaders and media. This year, the Forum will feature new formats and structured networking opportunities.

Community Day is a day of free activities for students, NGOs and the general public, raising awareness about and providing training in digital technologies. The day will give interested attendees insight into the future of digital technology through panels and workshops, and encourage them to join the digital entrepreneurship age.

By the time the 11th session of the Arab Telecom and Internet Forum is held in February 2012, the number of mobile subscriptions around the world would have exceeded 6 billion, or nearly 86% of the planet’s population. The share of Middle-East countries is approximately 360 million or 6%, The number of internet users will be 2.3 billion persons, representing a the third of the global population.  
 
These developments are the reason why telecommunication companies, internet sites, applications and operation systems developers, mobile phones manufacturers, telecom solution providers, regulators, legislators and investors believe that the ICT sector is about to witness fusions between mobile communication, internet functions and data exchange functions that would thus open doors wide to digital services at all levels, whether governmental, financial, health, education, media, or others.
