Short rationale: Ramadan ads are charcterized by the formation of a moon crescent, using the product or product attributes. The objective of this ad was to communicate Geepas Torches' attribute of 'Powerful Beam' using the 'Eid lingo'.
"Don't drink and drive", a totally differnet approch by Amber Communications in Dubai for Barakat Quality Plus, a fresh fruit juice. The timing of ad came with the New Year's eve, when people get drunk and endanger themeselves and others with their hasty driving. Here is a rationale by the agency: It's that time of the year again with party revelers outdoing each other. We took the most abused piece of advice of "Don't drink and drive " and flipped it on its head! The message works both in terms of topicality and on the product's health benefit angle. The ad was released on New Year's eve for obvious reasons!
