Middle East lacks Arabic content writers

The Peninsula reports that during the event ‘All about Blogging’, a Google official has stated that Arabic is not even among the top ten languages used in blogs, despite the fact that Arabic ranks 5th in the top 10 spoken languages. However, although not many people are blogging in Arabic, a lot happen to be reading.

Only one percent of all blogging content is in Arabic. This lack of quality arabic content in blogs may be due to cultural differences and the way technology is being used in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Blogging is a relatively new social tool that has a lot of untapped potential when it comes to media.
