Arabian Automobiles has launched a Nissan Pathfinder promotion through Mindshare. Through the partnership, the exclusive dealer of Nissan, Infiniti and Renault in Dubai and the Northern Emirates has become the first automotive retailer in the MENA region to leverage the potential of on-line group buying platforms.

Commenting on the initiative, Felix Welch, Director - Sales & Marketing, Arabian Automobiles said, "Arabian Automobiles is continually looking for new ways in which to engage with consumers and the fast-developing phenomenon of on-line. 'Group Buying' is an intriguing new platform for brands seeking to engage in innovative advertising strategies. Our relationship with Cobone has started with an attractive offer on our popular Pathfinder SUV model for a limited time period. As the first automotive retailer to make its products available on 'Cobone', we look forward to showcasing further models in the future."

The deal is also indicative of the attention media agencies have started paying to this space. Girish Ahuja, Regional Client Leadership Director, Mindshare said, "Mindshare believes in providing solutions based innovations to its clients. In the case of Nissan we zeroed in on an innovative opportunity for augmenting sales via a platform that is measurable and gaining immense popularity. As car buying by nature is a long drawn process, a lot of collaborative effort went into designing the customer journey across the website & into the showroom. This activity is the first in its kind in the MENA region and we are proud to lead and be the trend setter."

Previously Arabian Automobiles has been awarded the 'eLEADER' honor by leading B2B portal Tejari.com in October 2009. Tejari enables buyers and sellers to transact and share information on a variety of goods and services via a secure Internet environment.

Arabian Automobiles received the award thanks to the value of its online trading reaching a value of $8.2m between January and September 2009, indicating that the company successfully used Tejari to carry out its activities with effective cost management and innovative eMarketplace service.
