Organisers of the 58th Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival have announced the launch of the Cannes Creative Effectiveness Lions in 2011, which will honour creativity which has shown a measurable and proven impact on a client’s business. Only entries that were either shortlisted or Lion winners, across all categories at Cannes Lions in 2010 will be eligible to enter into Creative Effectiveness Lions 2011. Entries in the Cannes Creative Effectiveness category will be rewarded for Strategy (25%), Idea (25%) and Results (50%).

Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival has concluded with the Film, Film Craft and Titanium and Integrated Lions Awards Ceremony. The Film category received 3,191 submissions, of which 362 entries were shortlisted. The Film Craft Lions category received 1,110 submissions, and shortlisted 96 entries. Titanium & Integrated Jury received 396 submissions of which only 26 entries were shortlisted. Some of the awards presented at the awards ceremony were the Advertising Agency of the Year, which was given to AlmapBBDO, São Paulo, Brazil, the Independent Agency of the Year award, the Network of the Year award and the Palme d’Or.

The first Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival winners were announced on Tuesday at the first of four Awards Ceremonies taking place during the Festival week in France. The Promo & Activation Grand Prix and the PR Grand Prix went to TBWACHIATDAY LA in the USA, with assistance from Paragon Marketing Group and Fleishman-Hillard, for their entry ‘Replay’ to promote the energy drink Gatorade.
