BPA Worldwide announces concurrent release of circulation and media data

BPA Worldwide has recently announced its latest circulation and media data in the region for the period January 2011 to June 30th, 2011. Newspapers and magazines opting to be BPA-audited reveal their “circulation claims”. Among Yahoo! Middle East/Maktoob, Autotradeuae.com, 7days.ae, Gulfnews.com and gnads4u.com, BPA Interactive powered by Nielsen reported Yahoo! Middle East/Maktoob had the most unique average browsers per month with 48,902,005 unique visitors,  Gulfnews.com and gnads4u.com with 2,516,236, followed by 7days.ae and Autotradeuae.com with117,292 and 72,470 unique visitors respectively.

GCC and Levant online ad spend to grow by 50%

Gulf News reports that according to Yahoo! Middle East’s regional vice president and managing director, Ahmed Nassef, the total advertising spend on the internet this year in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Levant is estimated at $100 million (Dh367.3 million) and is likely to grow by another 50 per cent in 2011. He said Yahoo is developing its Arabic language services to tap into the 60 million-strong online population in the Arabic-speaking world, which is set to go up to 100 million over the next two years.

Rotana and Yahoo! team up to launch video streaming platform for Arab world

Yahoo! Middle East and Rotana has announced a new partnership which will enable Yahoo! to use and stream Rotana’s wide range of multimedia content through its new Arabic speaking video network channel. This strategic alliance will enable Yahoo! to roll out a number of added-value services for Rotana and end users such as mobile-friendly content, advertising content management, and an enhanced IPTV offering, amongst others.
