Business 24|7 reports that as part of the Young Journalist Award, organized by the Dubai International Film Festival, in association with MBC, professionals from the journalism and film fraternity have discussed the challenges of new age media; media ownership, social media networking issues and the changing nature of the global advertising market.

Topics include film review and criticism, film business writing and new technologies like blogging.

DIFF 2009 is held in association with Dubai Studio City until December 16th, open to all UAE students in the fields of journalism, film studies, PR, mass media and communications.
