 <title>Memac Ogilvy appoints Eymard Saldanha regional head of advertising in MENA</title>

&lt;p&gt;Memac Ogilvy &amp;amp; Mather announced today the promotion of Eymard Saldanha to the position of Regional Head of Advertising in the Middle East and North Africa.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Eymard will continue to head up the BAT Eastern Europe Middle East &amp;amp; Africa (EEMEA) account and part of the Global Leadership Team at Ogilvy on BAT. BAT is the single largest client within Ogilvy Africa and Middle East.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Eymard joined Memac Ogilvy in Dubai in early 1997 as Associate Account Director and was regularly promoted throughout the years. During his career at Memac Ogilvy, Eymard has managed multiple blue-chip accounts, including British American Tobacco (Pall Mall, Viceroy, Vogue, Rothmans, Peter Stuyvesant); Glaxo Smithkline (Panadol, Eno and Lucozade); Unilever (Dove, Comfort, Vaseline and Ponds), Kraft (Tang); and IBM (cross brand) among others.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In addition to his account handling and team leader responsibilities, Eymard has been involved in the general management of the UAE operations as well as new business development.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Making the announcement, Eddie Moutran, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Memac Ogilvy, said: &amp;quot;Eymard has proven time and again to be a key player in our organization. His 14-year stint with us is evidence of his commitment to his work and to his clients.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Konkani, Eymard graduated from Xavier Institute of Communications at Bombay University with a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Marketing in 1990. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics &amp;amp; Sociology, also from Bombay University.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When he has a few hours away from managing his clients&#039; advertising campaigns, Eymard is an avid motoring enthusiast (both 4 and 2 wheels) as well as being passionate about athletics, particularly basketball and tennis.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;div&gt;Memac Ogilvy Label Tunisia supported by sister agency Mindshare won a shining Lion d&amp;rsquo;Or (Gold Lion) in the Media category for their &amp;lsquo;June 16th 2014&amp;rsquo; brand campaign. This is the first ever Gold Lion awarded to a Tunisian agency.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;The agency enrolled major Tunisian brands and media to &amp;lsquo;pretend&amp;rsquo; it was June 14th, 2014, three years after the first scheduled free elections in the country. Via fictional news reports, radio debates and bulletins, the campaign presented Tunisia as a modern, prosperous democratic country where people freely express their hopes, dreams and desires. To protest the economic standstill, people returned to work and the brands involved in the campaign resumed their marketing activities &amp;ndash;prompting others to follow suit- thus injecting much needed funds into the country&amp;rsquo;s battered economy.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;In addition to the direct, positive economic aspects of this ground-breaking work, the campaign started numerous conversations and dialogues in the online community. The campaign was the most talked-about topic on French Twitter.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Eddie Moutran, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Memac Ogilvy, said: &amp;ldquo;I am extremely proud of our team in Tunisia for their incredible work on this initiative. &lt;div&gt;In the Press category, Memac Ogilvy Dubai took the Bronze Lion for their anti-censorship print campaign for the Reporters Without Borders organization. The ads showed images of world leaders such as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or Vladimir Putin, with parts of the pictures blurred so as to suggest something inappropriate when in fact there was no such need for censorship.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&amp;ldquo;The Cannes Lions is by far the most prestigious competition for the communication industry, be it for broadcast, print, digital, public relations, advertising and other disciplines. With nearly 29,000 entries from all over the world, simply being shortlisted is a major achievement so being awarded is simply indescribable. Our agency has been in this industry for over 26 years and we have grown from a handful of people to now over 500 employees in 13 offices all across the MENA region. This is a great day for Memac Ogilvy and a great day for creativity in the region&amp;rdquo; added Mr. Moutran.&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;div&gt;In addition to Memac Ogilvy&amp;rsquo;s wins, Ogilvy &amp;amp; Mather globally had its best year ever at the competition, securing its highest place ever in the much-coveted &amp;quot;Network of the Year&amp;quot; category and winning second place. The agency won more Gold Lions than any other agency network.&lt;/div&gt;

The UAE has been ranked first in the world of Print/Press and came in 10th in the top ten countries. The world&amp;rsquo;s top ten press agencies included Elephant Cairo, ranking 3rd and Y&amp;amp;R Dubai, ranking 9th. Memac Ogilvy &amp;amp; Mather ranked 9th in the world&amp;rsquo;s top 10 direct agencies, and JWT Dubai was number 15 in the top 20 agencies in the world.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;p&gt;OgilvyOne unveiled a new service, neo@Ogilvy which offers end-to-end digital media solutions from creative concepting through to media investment, implementation and optimisation, at the Memac Ogilvy &amp;amp; Mather offices in Bahrain on Monday. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A presentation and luncheon was held with Agency clients and other Bahrain-based companies who are interested in enhancing their digital presence. The presentation led by neo@Ogilvy Business Director, Anna Gibbons and OgilvyOne Bahrain Business Director, Hannelore Grams focused on turning Digital media into performance based marketing.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;quot;Planning and buying digital media is completely different to buying traditional media. With traditional media once the space is purchased the job is almost finished. However, once digital media is bought the job has only just started. Constant monitoring and data analysis can improve performance therefore enabling companies to gain more value out of digital channels.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;
